Project Finance-File

As a small business that offers and build tools for (local) small to medium sized companies we often get the request to customer build a finance / invoice solution. This is especially true for smaller companies that where finance is done in a certain way for years and where the end users don’t want to spend a lot of time to send quotes / invoices or do general bookkeeping.

This build series is for companies that want to have a custom solution that fits their needs that is cost effective and (once its setup) last for years to come. Before we start this series I must mention the obvious other options: Both Freshbooks and Invoice Ninja are amazing programs that I can easily recommend. However they both lack the custom nature and flexibility of a spreadsheet.

In this guide I will mainly work with google sheets as it is freely available, has excellent sharing options and will make constant version backups that keep your data safe. If you are more inclined to MS office / excel you can still follow (as the approach and formulas remain similar)  along.

Social media strategy + new branding

For a customer that has sales offices throughout Europe we where asked to change there branding and implement a social media marketing strategy.

First we modernized the branding of the company (which hadn’t been touched in over a decade). Our new logo didn’t loose the core identity but reflected the new business strategy much better. With this we also made a brand guide so that all offices where aligned in this new image.

Besides a renewal of the house style / branding management also asked us to research the best social media implementation that worked well for B2B and could easily be used by the different offices in Europe.

Flyers for B2B business services

Our client asked us to design some product flyers for a new B2B service they were rolling out into the market. After we had a clear understanding on how these flyer where going to be used (print, for fairs and the sales team), we started on the design. As this was a printing service we quickly settled on the colors commercial laser color printers use (magenta, yellow and blue)

Sustained Results Poster

One of our clients was looking to become more environmentally friendly in the workplace. they asked us to make 2 variations of our proposed design. These designs we ultimately used in both the Dutch and German office locations.

Account Insights File

Our client wanted a comprehensive tool that would allow him to extract data from existing reporting and build meaningful insights for the sales teams to better target new customers.

Since we had to use a tool that was already present on all the sales staff computers (+/- 150 people) we chose excel as a base platform. We developed a VBA back end and logic that would automatically take the region specific data and implement it in the file (visible through a dashboard). We started our testing in the Benelux market after which it was quickly decided that the tool was to roll out through all European sales offices.

We also headed the implementation and training of sales staff and their managers in order to implement this ahead of schedule. Sales is now able to select their individual client list and to select the most promising cold customers to efficiently increase their opportunity pipeline.

Managers could change the back end logic in order to better reflect the challenges they would face in their respective markets. After the first evaluation (3 months after the last implementation) we have seen that the opportunity pipeline was increased by 15% (on average) and sales felt more comfortable reaching out to customers
